My experience in the FM field, spanning nearly three decades, revealed a glaring gap between what traditional education offered and the actual, rapidly evolving demands of the industry. It was during a particularly challenging mobilisation projects that the spark was ignited. These projects underscored the critical need for a specialised training programmes that could effectively prepare professionals for the complexities of mobilisation and contract transformation, blending strategic insight with practical application. Recent polls I have taken indicate the challenges although known are still an industry wide problem.
This realisation was compounded by my encounters with professionals across the industry who felt ill-prepared to navigate the intricacies of their roles, particularly when it came to initiating, managing, and optimising FM contracts. The ambition to fill this educational void led to the conceptualisation of MCFM Global Academy.
