Biography

Dr. Shola Adeyemi is a trained mathematician, statistician, and operations researcher with a
distinguished career spanning both academia and industry. Over the years, he has
addressed both theoretical and practical challenges across a variety of fields, including order
statistics distributions, damage detection in civil engineering, psychometrics, health and
social care modeling, health services research, biostatistics, epidemiology, and medtech.
Dr. Adeyemi earned his PhD in Operations Research and Statistics from the University of
Westminster, where his thesis was awarded runner-up for the best body of research leading
to a PhD in the field at any UK institution in 2009.
With over 16 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and R&D sectors, Dr.
Adeyemi has leveraged his expertise in mathematics, applied statistics, machine learning,
and AI to drive innovative solutions addressing critical gaps in healthcare. As a forward
thinking thought leader, he brings extensive knowledge in human-centered design and
regulatory processes, including CE, NDA, BLA, and HDE submissions, and collaborates
actively with regulatory agencies.
Among his contributions, Dr. Adeyemi has developed cutting-edge technologies like SmartX
Solutions—an integrated platform that enhances healthcare service delivery by fostering
collaboration among stakeholders to center care on patient needs. SmartX Solutions serves
as a comprehensive digital transformation tool, addressing the diverse needs of
stakeholders in disease management and health program implementation. It is currently
deployed in HIV programs for the US Centre for Disease and Control in Nigeria, economic
strengthening initiatives for United States Agency for International Development in Malawi,
and enhancement of HIV testing and prevention services for Elton John Aids Foundation
(EJAF) in Ghana, Sierra Leone, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In addition to his research and technology contributions, Dr. Adeyemi has founded or co
founded several ventures, including Statsxperts Consulting Limited, Bohemian Smartlytics
Limited, Fastian Investments Limited, Agbeloba Integrated Farms, and DMamaPut Limited,
reflecting his entrepreneurial drive and dedication to innovation. As a philanthropist, Shola
founded Adeyemi Olugbode Charity Foundation to give back to the society through elderly
people as well as economic empowerment to indigent youth.
